We're working everyday to improve Octopi and enhance your experience. If you're interested in seeing updates and fixes as they are deployed to our servers, you can check out the Changelog in Octopi.
New Feature Highlights
Introducing Truck Appointments
With the new Truck Appointments features, gate arrivals can be scheduled in advanced with planned details for timing and cargo to reduce congestion at the gates and increase efficiency for both terminals operations and trucking companies.
This new appointment system makes it possible to:
- Align gate arrivals with your terminal’s work schedule.
- Reduce waiting times for carriers.
- Improve terminal efficiency and communication.
- Reduce your operation's carbon footprint.
Gate clerks can gate-in a truck directly from the Appointments page in Octopi. Gating in from an appointment saves time and provides the added benefit of pre-filled information for the truck visit and a convenient QR code on the generated Appointment Confirmation Voucher.

Batch Mode allows your team to work faster and more efficiently, while minimizing the potential for errors with the repetitive tasks for individual items.
A variety of actions can now be applied to multiple containers located in a yard grid as a Batch Action.
Click Yard in the Main Menu and select Yard Areas in the menu panel. On the Yard Areas index page, click the View button next to the grid yard area where the batch action will be applied.
While viewing the grid for the selected yard area, click the Batch Mode button. Then simply, click each container in the yard grid to select them. The Batch Mode icon will display in the grid box to indicate a container is selected.
Once you have selected containers, click the button in the Batch Actions menu that is labeled with the action you wish to apply to all of the selected cargo.
