Searching the Knowledge Base
The search field is located on nearly every page on the Knowledge Base. On the Home page you can find it at the top of the page in the main banner image. On each Topic page and Guide page the search field is located in the top right corner.
To use the search field, click inside the field and begin typing a keyword or question relating to Octopi. A dropdown menu listing suggested guides will appear. Click a suggested guide in the dropdown menu to view that guide, or press Enter to perform the search and view the full list for search results. When viewing the search results, click the title of any guide you'd like to view.
Browsing by topic
On the Home page, scroll down to find the grid of topics. Most topics match a module you will find within the Main Menu in Octopi. If your question relates to one of the topics, click that Topic button to view all the related guides.
- If your terminal is in the Onboarding process, or you are new to Octopi, check out the Getting Started topic.
- To get assistance with an issue, frequently asked questions, or to learn more about contacting Octopi for support, look at the Troubleshooting & Support topic.
- The What's new? topic provides quarterly announcement of product updates to help keep you and your team up to date on new features, updates, and ongoing training.
After clicking a topic, you will see a list of all of the guides within that topic. When you find a title that matches your inquiry, click the title to view the full guide.
Watching videos
On many of our guides you will find a video tutorial version embedded in the guide to better demonstrate an operational process or feature. To watch a video on a Guide page, click the play button on the embedded video player.
On the Home page, scroll down to find the video index. All of the videos we have available within our guides are grouped here for your convenience. When you find a video in the Index that you would like to watch, click the video thumbnail. A lightbox view will open containing the guide where the video lives. It will automatically scroll to video and autoplay. If you do not hear audio, ensure your volume is up and headphones are plugged in correctly.
Your feedback
At the bottom of every guide page you find an opportunity to give simple, "yes or no" feedback on if a guide was helpful.
Click the thumbs up, if you feel the guide was helpful. Click the thumbs down, if you feel it was not helpful. Your feedback is valuable to us for maintaining our Knowledge Base.
Joining a webinar
Periodically Octopi will host an online webinar focusing on a feature, concept, or industry topic. Click Webinars in the top navigation to view any upcoming webinars or browse our archive of past webinars.
