Suggested guides
The Welcome to Octopi video gives a general overview of onboarding configurations, operational pages and admin settings.
Listed below are selected guides that offer a more detailed look at the process and pages mentioned in the video. We encourage you further explore the Knowledge Base to learn more about Octopi.
The Main Menu
Once you've signed up and logged in you’ll have access to the tools you need to perform operations, gain insights with analytics, and review invoices. All of these pages are accessed through the Main Menu.
The Main Menu won’t look the same for every user. The availability of menu items and the pages within them, is controlled by enabling and disabling permissions in a user’s role. Administrators at the terminal are able to manage how permissions are configured and which role is applied to a user.
For example, an admin’s menu may have more menu items available than a gate clerk who will only require access to gate related features. A third-party consignee will only be able to access their own invoices through the Payment Portal. Additionally, if your terminal doesn’t have certain operations, such as rails or vessel operations, then you may not see that menu item
Octopi was designed to give each user the ability to securely access the tools they need to perform their job.
